Recap: 2018 Wine Women & Shoes Seattle Fashion Fundraiser
Supporters of Olive Crest gathered at the Fairmont Olympic in Seattle on Friday, November 9th for the annual Wine Women & Shoes fashion fundraiser. Over 350 guests enjoyed wine from local wineries including Chateau Ste. Michelle and light bites from featured culinary partners including Il Fornaio and Gourmondo as they bid on silent auction items, pulled corks from the “Wall of WIne”, and shopped from local vendors in the shop-for-a-cause marketplace. Guests also purchased raffle tickets to enter to win the coveted“Key to the Closet” which unlocked a $10,000 fashion prize pack.
The event was hosted by local TV personality Kaci Aitchison along side returning auctioneer Fred Granados. The duo led the LIVE auction, official event program, and a special celebration to honor this year’s “Shoe Guys” who helped raise over $29,000 in the community leading up to the event. In total, the Wine Women & Shoes Seattle event raised over $243,0000 for Olive Crest. There are currently 10,000 foster kids in the state and over 1,655 children who are actively awaiting a foster family. Olive Crest currently serves 442 families in the Pacific Northwest and plans to double that number over the next two years. We want to send a BIG thank you to everyone who came out this year to support the event and help Olive Crest get closer to reaching their goal.
