This Matters Collection Receives Praise from Media
In response to the wave of social justice movements happening around the country, two Seattle brands have teamed up to launch a sustainable jewelry collection that gives back to a great cause. “This Matters” by The Cura Co. x Boma Jewelry is a collaborative collection designed to help redistribute funds to grassroots organizations working in the pursuit of racial justice and equity.
The inspiration for the line came in the immediate aftermath of George Floyd's death last year and the realization that both brands could use their platforms to support communities of color. Six months later, the brands have released their first gender-inclusive collection titled “This Matters”. Featured items from the line include a BLM "Power Pendant", a "Say Their Names" slogan necklace, and a "Power Signet" ring featuring a raised fist. All items are ethically-made from recycled metals in Boma's family-owned factory in Bangkok, and available in sterling silver or 14k gold. 100% of the profits will be donated to the Black College Matters Fund by Save Your VI, a non-profit dedicated to advocacy for Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Check out recent press coverage of the collection below.
