Universal Standard, the fashion brand for all women, has announced the launch of Universal Standard 1:1, an experiential retail space for all of US, as we are. One part shopping space and one part community space, Universal Standard 1:1 aims to revolutionize how we shop by bringing customers new and personalized experiences through curated programming and shared access to space.

The first-of-its-kind retail concept is set to open in Seattle on June 20, 2019. The latest in the brand’s efforts to transform fashion retail, Universal Standard 1:1 comes on the heels of collaborations with household brands including J.Crew and high-fashion brands like Rodarte. It is an extension of the brand’s mission to reshape the fashion landscape and break down existing barriers to give all women access to great style.

Universal Standard 1:1 is designed to serve both the individual shopper and the community at large. Customers will be able to book styling appointments and group shopping experiences at these shared destinations, and reserve the space for their own personal use to explore interests and host meet-ups. In addition, Universal Standard will host monthly programming and local community events.

The 1:1 space will feature a curated assortment of products available for purchase including denim, elevated basics, outerwear, and seasonal styles. Universal Standard stylists will be available for a variety of  personalized styling experiences including complete wardrobe overhauls, fit sessions, and group styling appointments.

The Seattle 1:1 space will open its doors at 2228 First Avenue on Thursday, June 20th. A variety of launch events to celebrate the grand opening are scheduled for the month of June. The company also plans to open additional 1:1 retail concepts later this year in a variety of cities across the U.S. including Portland, Chicago, and New York.

About Universal Standard

Polina Veksler and Alexandra Waldman created Universal Standard in 2015 to obliterate the dividing line of size—a style barrier which, until now, determined who had the privilege and freedom to dress with quality and style. Starting with the premise that clothes should look and feel good on everyone, they set out to design a line of contemporary, elevated essentials for all women and allow a size 2 and a size 32 to shop in the same way – using style as the only filter. They made it their mission to proliferate FASHION FREEDOM across the industry and be unrelenting in representing all of US, as we are. Available in sizes 00 to 40, Universal Standard is the most inclusive brand in the industry. For more information, visit www.UniversalStandard.com.
