CenterCal Properties Leads with Community-First Retail and Mixed-Use Development
Known for its unique strategy of “placemaking” which emphasizes the importance of developing spaces with a sense of community, CenterCal Properties continues to lead the industry with community-first retail and mixed-use development.
“The industry talks about mixed-use properties as having different components, like retail, office, and maybe residential- but they fail to mention that the project also needs to have a heart. A place that the community can benefit from. A place the community can be proud of,” shared Fred Bruning, CenterCal Properties Chairman and Founder.
The Village at Totem Lake is an excellent example of each of those components coming together for a seamless guest experience. “The Village at Totem Lake Project is a testament to the bold vision of creating a vibrant, walkable community place championed by successive City Councils,” said Councilmember Kelli Curtis. “Through a robust community engagement process, partnerships with forward-thinking private developers, and an orchestrated city-wide department collaboration, this project exemplifies Kirkland’s priorities of community building, placemaking, and sustainability.”
