2019 goals + events

The arrival of the New Year brings us a much needed opportunity for reflection, both personal and professional. Here at Gossip & Glamour we’ve carefully evaluated our business and made some major plans for the year ahead. Here are our top 5 business goals for 2019:

#1 - Publish even MORE content about Seattle fashion brands and businesses including interviews with designers, shop owners, and industry professionals.

#2 - Launch an official Gossip & Glamour podcast that will give listeners behind-the-scenes access to the Seattle fashion industry.

#3 - Host more meaningful events and brand activations that add value to people’s lives and gets them offline to connect in real life.

#4 - Expand Gossip & Glamour into new markets including Portland, New York, Vancouver B.C., and London. Yes, we realize that’s quite aggressive, but with the right brand partners, we know it’s completely possible.

#5 - Continue to share free Gossip & Glamour tools, tips, and insight with readers who can’t afford to hire us, but want to do meaningful work in the fashion community.

With regard to events, we’ve got a full 2019 calendar in the works including the 4th Annual Style Summit for Seattle fashion bloggers/influencers, sleepovers at local hotels for creatives to connect and collaborate, events to support the MOHAI Seattle style exhibit (launching in May), and smaller micro-events designed to bring likeminded-people in the community together. We will also be on-site at the Sustainable Fashion Forum in April moderating a panel about ‘The Power of Influence’ and will be hosting a few events in other markets to introduce ourselves to the world. We will also be sharing even more content on Instagram stories as we expand our Fashion Field Trip series to new neighborhoods and possibly, even new cities!
