Wine Women & Shoes Seattle announces 2017 Runway Models

Wine Women & Shoes, the annual fundraising event for Olive Crest, has announced it's line-up of models for the 2017 event. In lieu of traditional models, the runway show produced by Styled Seattle will feature model citizens wearing clothing from local designers and boutiques. This year's featured retailers include The Finerie, Barneys New York, SILVAE, Renee Bassetti, Sarah Alexandra, Sway & Cake, Moorea Seal, Universal Standard, Luly Yang, and Armoire. We can't wait to see these ladies rock the runway on November 10th at the Fairmont. 

2017 Wine Women & Shoes Runway Show Models:

Rose Dennis, PR Director for Luly Yang - Rose Dennis has spent her career working and teaching in the fashion industry. She spent over fourteen years in Executive Management for JC Penney Co, and fourteen years as a college professor at Edmonds Community College teaching courses in fashion, retail, marketing, and business management. Her experience also includes one-year teaching fashion courses abroad in Kobe, Japan. Rose has spent five years as the Director of Marketing, PR, and Special Events for City Center (5th & Pike) and two years as Director of Procurement, PR, Marketing and Development for the #1 non-profit Arts Organization PONCHO, raising over $6M for the arts in Seattle. Since 2002, she has been the Public Relations Manager for Award Winning Seattle Fashion Designer Luly Yang and Luly Yang Couture. (Pictured above, right)

Michele Rutherford, Retired Nordstrom Executive - Michele is a graduate of the University of Washington, with a BA in Clothing and Textile Design. She spent 25 years with Nordstrom. In 1980 she pioneered the Product Development business for Nordstrom, where she led a group of many talented and dedicated people, and built a $500M business, developing product all over the world. In 1988 she was instrumental in bringing the renowned French menswear brand Façonnable to America, as the exclusive licensee for the American market, and again, with the help of a talented team, built a $200M business, which for a number of years, was the most profitable division at Nordstrom. Michele is now principal consultant for Maison Michele Marie, and focuses on creative direction in product development, retail and wholesale merchandising, and branding, in both womenswear and menswear. She also enjoys mentoring to young talented people wanting to pursue a career in fashion.  She has been an active member of the Seattle fashion community for more than 40 years. Alysse Bryson, King 5 - Alysse Bryson currently serves as the Director of Market Development for KING 5 NBC “The Home Team”. She was also one of the co-creators for the new KING 5 YouTube Vlog “Local Lens Seattle”. Alysse was previously the Publisher for Seattle Met Magazine and is active in her community with a variety of local non-profit organizations. Alysse lives on Mercer Island with her 21-year-old son Jakob and her two Boston Terriers Roxie and Bella. (Pictured above)

Erin Maude, Synchrony Financial - Erin recently joined Synchrony Financial as the new Assistant Vice President of Amazon Marketing. As part of her role, she also helps manage the local office efforts of giving back to the community including donations and volunteer time to organizations such as Jubilee REACH and the Pike Place Market Foundation.  Prior to her new role, she was with Delta Air Lines managing partnerships and community support for the Seattle hub for 3 years. She led the development and growth of the partnership portfolio and proudly sponsored more than 80 non-profit events a year. She also served on the boards of the British-American Business Connections and Seattle Sports Commission. Erin also managed and directed the Delta golf tournament that raised more than $500k (net) in 3 years for Seattle Humane. Photo coming soon!

Michelle Newbery, The Mine - Michelle joined The Mine in December of 2011, as the company's chief financial officer after spending five years in the Lowe's Finance organization. She then assumed the role of President in November 2013. During her time at The Mine, she has refined the corporate mission, spearheaded a company rebranding effort and established a philanthropy program that encourages community giving and environmental stewardship. Christina Schmutz, The Mine - Joining the company in 2013, Christina runs The Mine’s Public Relations department. Leading PR, Corporate Communications, Social Media and Friends of Mine philanthropy program, Christina was an integral leader in The Mine’s rebranding campaign. During her time at The Mine, Christina has been strategically involved in all things PR, from Pop Up shops, social media efforts & managing agency relationships. Sarah McKinney & Renee Bassetti, Sarah Alexandra/Renee Bassetti - Renowned designer and tailor Renee Bassetti invented the original shirt concept in 1989. Renee had a singular obsession—to create the finest shirt for women ever made. Initially, her designs were available exclusively as part of a bespoke experience. As word spread, her shirts were quickly favored by women of prominence the world over. This inspired her daughter, Sarah Alexandra McKinney, to extend this luxury experience to a wider audience. Amy Nelson, The Riveter - Amy believes in the power of women helping women. She is responsible for running all aspects of The Riveter, which she co-founded after a 10 year run as a corporate litigator and political fundraiser. Amy is a graduate of Emory and NYU Law, and mother to three daughters. She loves to build forts with the girls and her husband Carl. Amy is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Riveter. (Pictured above)

Carrie Maher, The Riveter - An ambitious seeker, Carrie is known for tackling situations with intent, excitement and meaningful outcomes. Carrie spent 12 years in business development consulting roles, helping companies grow & address their most pressing challenges. She leads The Riveter’s membership growth & marketing strategies and is “mama” to a toddler boy, Redding. When not engaged in all things Riveter, Carrie is traveling; singing & dancing with Redding and her husband Ryan; and conjuring up the next activity for her multi-media club. Carrie is the VP of Business Development and Enterprise Partnerships at The Riveter. (Pictured above)

 

Ambra & Natalie, Style bloggers at Tallz and Smallz - Both transplants to Seattle, Ambra Washington-Sookram and Natalie Randall bonded over a shared love of fashion and a belief in how accessible style can be, no matter your size, shape, or height. They started tallz & SMALLZ in 2016 to provide a point of view for both tall and petite fashionistas, and as they take more style risks every day, they’re excited to share tips and tricks for #love-dressing your body type. The duo recently raised $5,000 for the Seattle chapter of Dress for Success by gathering local fashion enthusiasts for a day of shopping at the first annual "Shop Her Closet" event. 

Jennifer Jedda, JJ Caprices - Having a passion for travel and adventure, Jen’s solo travels have brought her to over 50+ countries. She lives in downtown Bellevue and operates her travel inspired business, a curated accessory collection of artisan treasures from around the globe, from her home office. Her story and shop have been featured in the Huffington Post, Seattle Magazine and in other important nation and local media. Katherine Boury, Seattle Goodwill - Katherine is a professional communicator and currently works at Seattle Goodwill. Previously, she worked at the Red Cross in doing public affairs and responded to many disasters including Hurricane Katrina, Florida hurricanes and numerous other national wildfires, storms and floods.  Katherine has been a volunteer with Olive Crest for the last three years and has won PRSA’s Hugh Smith Community Service Award in 2015.  She is also a certified yoga instructor.

Lauren Vogt, Bella Fiore Organic Med Spa - A self-proclaimed connoisseur of premium experiences, services and products, Lauren inspires others to run towards their passions. As an ex My Space employee, Lauren has a deep understanding of Social Media, digital media strategy, client relationship building and influencer marketing. Over a decade of focused experience in lifestyle and wellness brands, supporting big personalities and talent, she plays an integral role in any team she comes along side to lead them in successful Social Media strategies and implementation, event marketing activities, community relations, and lifestyle and influencer engagements.

Maryline Desjardins, Gene Juarez - While previously based out of Montreal, Canada, Maryline worked for McCann Erickson, a global advertising agency, for over 7 years. Passionate about the beauty industry, she was the Account Director on the L’Oreal Paris and Dessange Paris accounts as well as working closely with Maybelline, Essie and Nespresso. Bringing her passion to the Pacific Northwest, she is now the Senior Marketing Director at Gene Juarez Salons and Spas. She is proud to bring her touch to this 45 years young & award-winning Seattle based company. With her fantastic team, they dedicate themselves to continued brand awareness growth while creating a lifetime of loyalty with their cherished GJ clients. Serving their Seattle-area clients doesn’t stop at the salon. She is committed to giving back to the community and supports the health and well-being of their clients and their families.
