#SHOPLOCAL News: Chophouse Row Adds 3 New Tenants

CHOPHOUSE ROW ANNOUNCES THREE NEW TENANTS IN LEADUP TO 2024 HOLIDAY SEASON

The new offerings will add to Chophouse Row’s community of day-to-night restaurants, shops, services, and amenities for the Pike/Pine neighborhood.

Chophouse Row, Seattle’s charming urban cluster for shopping and dining, is proud to announce the addition of three new locally-owned, women-led businesses to the property. The new tenants join the existing roster of more than a dozen independent businesses that make up the heart of Chophouse Row, just in time for the busy holiday season. Featured new merchants include slow fashion retailer Celine Waldmann, couture bridal shop White Door, and Japanese Bento Boxes by Anbai.

CELINE WALDMANN

Opened October 2024

Celine Waldmann has been working in slow fashion since 2019, building a collection using only natural fibers and vintage textiles that is produced as ethically as possible.  After popping up with her wares at 210Seattle’s night market, Renegade Craft, and Rock Paper Scissors, she has launched her own eponymous retail shop on the Chophouse Row alley between Butter Home and Sweet Alchemy. Celine designs garments that are multi-seasonal and are intended to become wardrobe staples. She works with a 3D knitting factory in Brooklyn to produce her sweaters using ethically sourced Italian Merino wool and carries a selection of sweaters for men and women in her store, while additional styles, colors, and sizes can be ordered online to be knit on-demand. She also works with vintage and sustainably sourced textiles to create small runs of garments from her Seattle studio; each item reflects her ethos and attitude of “clothing for people who like to read”.  Stop by the shop, find your inner bookworm, and meet her adorable pup, Jimmy.  www.celinewaldmann.com

ANBAI

Opened October 2024

The latest addition to the diverse Chophouse Row food scene is Anbai, which takes a Japanese bento box approach to take-out lunches based on healthy, fermented foods.  Owner Fumiyo Mukohata previously ran popups at Mimi, Saint Bread and La Dive to wide acclaim and is now delighted to have a full-time space at the Chophouse building’s 1st floor lunch counter. “We are delighted to be incubating another micro-business at Chophouse Row in this space, and are delighted for the neighborhood to try Fumiyo’s unique approach to healthy lunchtime eating,”  says Chophouse Row owner Liz Dunn.

WHITE DOOR BRIDAL SHOP

Opening November 2024

Cecilia Alvarez, owner of White Door Bridal Shop, is relocating her couture bridal boutique from Tacoma to the heart of Seattle, taking up a beautifully crafted by-appointment studio on the mezzanine level of the Chophouse building. Tailored to the modern urban bride, the shop offers a personal, private, and luxurious experience, perfect for those seeking custom designs and exceptional service. Says Chophouse Row owner Liz Dunn, “I can’t think of a more complementary fit with our neighboring services in the project.  Bridal parties will be able to have an end-to-end experience: order custom fragrances from Atelier Madrona, avail themselves of facials and clean beauty products from Cake Skincare, hair styling from the award-winning Yvey Salon, and even learn how to pull off their inaugural wedding dance with the help of the professional instructors at PopRox Studios.” www.whitedoorbridal.com
