Media Alert: Tickets on sale now for Seattle Style Lab

STYLE BLOGGERS IN THE CITY WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO CONNECT WITH THEIR PEERS AND LEARN COVETED STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESS AT SEATTLE STYLE LAB ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 20TH AT GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN DOWNTOWN SEATTLE.

Seattle, WA (July 2016) – In response to the growing number of fashion bloggers in the city, Gossip & Glamour has partnered with local style bloggers Allison Wagner of West Coast Aesthetic, McKenna Moe of The Modern Mosaic, and Julianna Lynch of Blush & Camo to create an interactive half-day workshop specifically designed for fashion and lifestyle bloggers.

Seattle Style Lab will be held at General Assembly on Saturday, August 20, 2016 and will include three targeted sessions covering everything from branding to social media analytics. The event is designed for a full spectrum of students including newbies to the blogging world,  existing bloggers who want to give their site a style makeover, and business owners who want to learn blogging basics.

Launching a new blog is often a daunting process and that’s where featured panelists will jump in to help in to help connect the dots. “I am very excited to share my tips and strategies on branding at Seattle Style Lab,” says featured panelist Allison Wagner. Since the launch of her blog back in 2014, she has served as a mentor for other style bloggers in the city showing them how to effectively capture their own unique aesthetic and visually communicate it to readers.

As the blogging market continues to saturate, content is key. Julianna Lynch of Blush & Camo will help Style Lab students understand what it takes to generate creative content and keep readers coming back for more. Social media maven and featured panelist McKenna Moe of The Modern Mosaic will round out the workshop and help students learn how to drive traffic to their sites and help decode popular social media algorithms for maximum success.

In addition to sharing insight on what it takes to run a successful style blog, event organizers will also focus on cultivating the Seattle blogging community. “When I started blogging back in 2008 the fashion blogging community was much smaller,” says Sydney Mintle, founder of Gossip & Glamour and blogger at SydneyLovesFashion.com. “It’s been amazing to see the style blogging community in the city grow. Everyone is really supportive and eager to collaborate.”

Tickets to Seattle Style Lab are $65 and available online at GeneralAssemb.ly. The first 25 people to purchase tickets will receive a deluxe swag bag filled with products from featured vendors including Fresh Tangerine, Sookie Co., Rain City Glow, Compendium, Swink Style Bar, Flash Tattoos, and Peridot boutique among others. Students will also have the opportunity to digitally download workshop content after the event for on-going learning and success. Additional sponsors include Fancy Cat Workshop, Bok A Bok Chicken, Dandy Fine Parties, Dry Soda, and Talking Rain.

The Style Lab event is just one of numerous fashion events produced annually by Gossip & Glamour. It follows the sold-out Stylish in Seattle summit held earlier this spring and will serve as a prelude to a series of fashion events scheduled for later this fall. Sign up for the mailing list to learn more about upcoming events in the city.
