PACIFIC PLACE CELEBRATES THE RESURGENCE OF 90’S FASHION WITH A SPECIAL SCREENING OF FASHION DOCUMENTARY “UNZIPPED”

(SEATTLE, WA) - Pacific Place, Seattle’s premiere downtown shopping destination, is kicking off the fall fashion season with a special screening of the 90’s cult-fashion documentary, “Unzipped” starring American fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi on Thursday, Sept. 7 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The behind-the-scenes documentary showcases the inner-workings of the fashion industry and takes viewers backstage at New York Fashion Week to witness the design process behind Mizrahi’s fall 1994 collection. This one-night only event at AMC Pacific Place 11 hosted in partnership with Seattle magazine will gather the style community to celebrate fashion and examine the ways that today’s pop culture has been heavily influenced by fashion trends of the 90’s. Event sponsors include Seattle Magazine, Gossip & Glamour and Styled Seattle. In honor of Ovarian Cancer Awareness during the month of September, 100% of event proceeds will be donated to The Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research.

“We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the fashion comeback of the 90’s than with this iconic film,” said Stephanie Heick, Director of Marketing at Pacific Place. “We’re excited to be kicking-off fall with an event that celebrates glamour and inspires the tastemakers in our city for the season ahead.”

The evening will kick off with a fashion cocktail party starting at 6 p.m., where guests can enjoy a glass of bubbly, strike a pose on the red carpet at the Seattle magazine photo booth, enjoy music from a DJ spinning classic 90’s tunes, and pick up a special swag bag. The evening will also include style giveaways, free popcorn, style sketches from Drawing Blueberry, and a special preview of fall fashion trends by stylist Darcy Camden of Styled Seattle. Tickets are $20, available via Eventbrite. Proceeds benefit The Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer.
