For Immediate Release

SEATTLE, Jan. 29, 2020 - Boma, Seattle’s leading ethical and eco-friendly fine jewelry brand, has announced the addition of retail veteran Cleo Escarez to the Executive Team. With extensive business strategy experience leading Fortune 500 companies including Starbucks, Williams Sonoma, and Gap Inc., Cleo brings a fresh perceptive and valuable leadership skills to the Boma team during a period of continued growth and expansion. As COO, Cleo will direct overall operations for the retail, wholesale, and private label programs at Boma in addition to supporting the company’s progressive sustainability initiatives.

“I have been fortunate to work for renowned global brands and brilliant industry leaders throughout my career.  Though I’m grateful for the opportunities, I realize that I’ve outgrown the retail model that exploits consumer culture. It no longer resonates with who I am today. I’m excited to join a company that better aligns with my personal values of conscious consumerism. My new role at Boma will allow me to apply my deep industry experience with a thriving mission-driven business,” says Escarez.

“Founded in 1981, Boma is entering a new decade focused on a long-term, sustainable vision that places value on recruiting like-minded partners like Cleo and adapting to the monumental changes in customer habits, supply chains, and the impacts of globalization,” says CEO Suzanne Vetillart.

In 2020, Boma plans to continue its omni-channel expansion with a 15% growth projection. Currently, Boma is found in over 1,000 independent stores across America and is a preferred private label manufacturer providing sustainability at scale.
